This piece honors Robert McCloskey, author of the children's story "Make Way for Ducklings."
This endearing piece features Santa dressed in a luminescent golden robe and stocking cap. Thick bands of gold glitter trim his attire, which is pattered with gold glittered crescent moons and stars. Against his pearl beard, Santa holds the black enamel handle of a shiny red and pearl glittered "STOP" sign in his gold-mitten hand. A mother duck, closely followed by three ducklings, all glittered in pearl, walks across the base of Santa's robe.
Beautiful design, as Santa leans forward, gesturing to the family of ducks, giving this ornament a pleasing sculptural sense of movement. Santa’s black shoes add brilliant contrast to the otherwise gold glittered underside of the piece.
Approximately 5 1/4 inches tall, children love this charming collectible.
